It can get worse it doesn't stay in one stage at least mine hasn't. And if it could be prevented that's unknown. There's ways to help once diagnosed but it doesn't go away it's still there it's a lifelong friend that sucks .

My experience, it can get progressively worse unless you become proactive in trying to keep it at bay.
Sometimes, even of you try your best, it can get worse through no fault of your own.
I've found it extremely helpful reading responses on here with suggestions. What works for one may or may not work for another. It's trial and error or hopefully, success!

Let me add its important to try and do the most you can to treat this disease and not let it spread; that's my biggest regret, believing that my body would heal the wounds itself 😒

Yes 🙌 that is possible but my surgeon 👨‍⚕️ removed the sweat glands and as you probably know HS is a problem with the hair follicles and the sweat glands firstly I will never have hair there again and then because they have removed the sweat glands my surgeon 👨‍⚕️ said that I should never have any problems again and he has done 1000’s of operations to do with HS he is a breast and surgeon man so he knows a lot about our HS problem 😊 👍
