What's Your Experience With Humira? Did It Help? Did You Inject It Yourself Or Does Only The Dr Inject It?

I just started Humira a few weeks ago. Self injection. So far it seems to be working. No flare ups and the ones I already had have diminished and gotten a lot smaller. They haven't gone away completely but fingers crossed. I would suggest getting on it if you can tolerate it and the side effects. The first injection I had was a double dose of 80 mg for 160 mg total and the next two days all I did was sleep and I was in a miserable mood. I'm on antidepressants so I shouldn't have been feeling like that and the doctor said it was a possibility. After that no problems whatsoever. My next injection nothing happened except for a little bit of pain at the injection site and that was completely tolerable. It only hurt if you poked it LOL but I say go for it if you can tolerate it. Good luck hun.

If you use humeral check out what it says about blood clots. I didn't use it for that reason

Humira helped me a GREAT deal even during flares. I took Humira for three different conditions but I felt like it did my HS the best. I did my own weekly injections at home.
