But the good thing is also even though you have to wait all this time the second you sign up for it they start putting money aside for you so when you actually get it you'll get a big refund check so I would sign up like as soon as you can but the thing is I'm not sure what the outcome would be if you're still physically working

Yes, I did/ I’m originally from Houston but have lived in Lake Charles for 18 years.

I applied for disability four times and finally got it last March-

The disability isn’t just for HS but with other things I’ve got going on as well.

I was frustrated that it took four years to get it but am grateful to have finally gotten it.

Once both knees are replaced this year I’ll go back to work as a PCA and keep the disability.

I hope that this has been helpful info for you. Take care OF YOU

My points are not current, so I have not tried to get on it. SSDI is disability insurance. I have helped another get on it for bipolar. They hired a lawyer pro bono who took 60 percent of a years back pay. You cannot work for at least a year prior. Inundate them with paperwork. The lawyers can get all your medical records for you. He got his on the first try. Hidradenitis supprativia is on the list of disabilities. It could not hurt to try. It is a debilitating condition.

We are in the middle of a determination right now. It's been at least 6 or more months, and they keep sending for more records and asking me to update with any new info , so I'm hopeful Eddie. Will let you know the out come . If you have severe hs where it is t under control and this has been going on , you should apply , it's a long process, but you are use to that with this desease, and if they turn you down get an attorney, usually approved after that , especially if you've been out of work for any amount of time. Good luck my friend.
