Clean it regularly with soap and water. If you can get bandages to stay put, bandage it to help it stay clean. You could also try manuka honey-I use Medihoney wound gel. It helps heal wounds and it has mild antimicrobial properties that help prevent infection. My wound care nurse recommended it to me when I had a big wound along my bra line that was taking a long time to heal.

It sounds like you might be experiencing a severe flare-up of hidradenitis suppurativa (HS). Here are some steps you can take based on the knowledge base:

1. Monitor for Infection: Look for signs of infection such as redness, swelling, pain, discharge, and odor that worsen instead of improve after the first few days. If these symptoms are present, seek medical attention immediately.

2. Bandaging: Use a reasonably absorbent bandage material on the affected area and seal it with something like Tegaderm, a clear plastic adhesive sheet, to manage drainage and odor.

3. Limit Physical Activity: To avoid further complications, limit physical activity, especially in the first 48 hours.

4. Seek Medical Help: Given the severity of your symptoms, it's crucial to consult with a healthcare professional as soon as possible.

Stay safe and take care!
