I left a couple msgs here in Jan, and I am still on keto, and am in complete remission.... I have tried lots of creams, soaps, cleansers, surgeries etc and it is the only thing I have tried that actually works. I realize not everyone is affected by diet, but obviously my trigger is sugar......most people don't know that carbs turn into sugar when your body is processing them. At the same time I find I am able to have some sugar and some carbs. I was able to have a bacon and tomato on bread a couple weeks ago and didn't have a flare up. I have also eaten a package of Reeses peanut butter cups and not had a flare. I think when you stick to keto, you can have a little of what you cut out and you are ok! There are a few people on this site that keto has worked and they are also in remission. It's worth a try, sure wish I had have known about keto years ago, would have saved me alot of tears and frustration!

Keto you cannot do gradually, you either go all in, or don't bother.....it's doesn't work by cutting back on 1 thing! There is an anti inflamatory diet....AID.....I don't know much about it other than all the foods you eat on it are generally anti inflamatory so the food will help you heal! I would think you have to go all in on that diet as well, having only some of the foods will not help your HS if you are eating alot of the wrong foods. Not sure about the mediterranean??

Hayley.....there is keto bread.....costco is one place that sells it.....a big Walmart may have it too. If you google there is also recipes. I am sure keto bread is not the same as regular bread though.....If I want a sandwich, I usually use a lettuce leaf. I know it's not the same.....maybe too hard for you to give up bread.....may depend on how bad your HS is. Carbs in general are hard to give up.....I used to eat carbs every meal!
