I tried Black African Soap and didn't find it changed anything.......I have never tried witch hazel though, although I'm in remission, I should get some, I think it's great for healing

I have used Cidal antibacterial soap for years but then it seemed to disappear. I have recently found Neem and Turmeric soap and it’s brilliant because turmeric is an anti-inflammatory. I use also use Octenisan sometimes but they don’t recommend that long term.

I also have excema so I've always used soaps and laundry detergent, everything free of dyes and perfumes so sensitive skin dove. First I use hibiclens on just the problem areas then wash with my dove all over. I've never tried the witch hazel but I will.

I only use African Black soap now. Open wound or not. I disinfect with only witch hazel. I've had very promising results. Everyone different though unfortunately.
