When choosing a deodorant for hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), consider the following:

- Aluminum-Free Options: Products like Native Deodorant, Kiss My Face, and Pretty Frank are recommended as they are natural and aluminum-free.
- Avoid Irritating Ingredients: Stay away from deodorants containing metals (including aluminum), fragrances, preservatives, and dyes, as these can cause skin irritation and allergic reactions.
- Paraben-Free: Parabens can cause irritation and allergic rashes, so it's best to avoid them.
- Alcohol-Free: Alcohol-based fragrances can also lead to allergic reactions.

Always consult your dermatologist before trying new products and avoid applying deodorant on open wounds or lesions.

I use unscented Mitchum stick or Sanex dermo sensitive spray. I tried not wearing it for a while but it made things so much worse!
I’ve never used them, but you can get really strong antiperspirant wipes that you apply once a week.

People have suggested Lume - I sometimes use Mitchum, I tried the nuude paste ones but found it did not completely work. I mostly don't wear any because it aggravates it and stay away from people as much as possible😂
