I’ve also had to suffer through HS episodes without any antibiotics or pain management from medical professionals. I’m learning I have to really speak up and be my own advocate. I’m finding it hard to find a truly caring and understanding Dr. for HS. I’d personally like to see some of these medical professionals have to deal with this condition personally and then see how “not that big a deal” they treat it. Hang in friend and don’t be afraid to ask for what you need. You deserve to be cared for.

Because at some point it may kick in. With my pain, (and this is just me). if my Doctor said go stand on your head in that corner to be healed. I'd be in that corner turning purple. ijs.

Is this a Dermatologist? If not you need to see one. If he/her is tell you that tell him/her get their head out……..

I went to the ER on the 2nd. I had an I&D then packing for 2 days. I went back to the ER to have the packing removed on the 4th. I was referred to a surgeon. Saw him on the 15th. He wants me to come back in 3 weeks to have a recheck. In the meantime the HS flared up and I was back in his office on the 22nd. He preformed another I&D and packed it again. Came back on the 23rd to remove packing. The incised area is still leaking and it’s so painful. He didn’t prescribe an antibiotic nor anything for the pain. I’ve suffered through it. I’m just on the fence about surgery. Thank you for the advice.
