I have a large (3-4 to 5-6 inch) patch on my upper inner left thigh. I'm sure it could be surgically dealt with, but I imagine it would be nightmarish for recovery. However, I was willing to go there because I am in so much constant pain. I only learned in January that there are now biologic treatments available. I was able to start on my first dose in March of Cosentyx. I haven't seen any noticeable change yet (4-weeks in), but I have an extremely severe condition and I'm still hopeful that I will see improvement soon. I can't take Humira because I have liver issues. But it's certainly worth trying to find a treatment. I have a constant burn and random stabbing pains in the area.
