Hi everyone,

I hope you are all doing well.

Kindly, I am reaching out because of the ongoing struggles with managing hidradenitis suppurativa, especially during times of stress and fatigue. These flare-ups are becoming overwhelming, and hope is getting lost on how best to cope.

Could anyone please share their experiences or tips on how they manage HS during stressful and tiring periods? Any advice on techniques or routines that help you avoid triggers would be greatly appreciated.

Being stress out use to cause the worse flare ups for me. I try not to stress even though it's hard. I would use hot compresses, antibiotics when I feel a flare up coming on, ointments also helped me.

If you have insurance that pays for mental health I would see a psychiatrist. I do. She was able to prescribe medication for the anxiety and depression. She also manages it. Philip this disease is mentally challenging for everyone. There is nothing wrong with using medication to feel normal again with the stress.
