I'm not sure you would be any further ahead with 2 Dr's........I have seen too many Dr's that didn't know anything about HS. I've also been to a dermatologist that just gave me doxycycline which did nothing. I think there is the odd Dr that is well educated in HS, and if you can find one of them, you are lucky! I have helped my HS more than any Dr by trying things on my own. Most things you try only seem to work temporarily as well. I am convinced that what you put in your mouth directly affects your body. I am on the keto diet and in remission.....yes NO HS!!!! Lovin Life!

I found a wonderful dermatologist that I have been working with. Previous doctors swept it under the rug and made like it wasn’t important. I was given antibiotics off and on for years. I’ve had surgeries and they came back. I’m now on Clindamyacin, metformin, spironolactone, (daily) and cosentyx every two weeks.

If your insurance will pay for it, go for it. I’m about to have a plastic surgeon and a regular surgeon perform on me Tuesday.
