I am on simlandi injections weekly and aldactone 100mg daily as a preventative and when I flare they inject the spot with kenalog/ lidocaine. Just evaluate your own skin and make sure you don’t feel that there is a further infection because then it suppresses the immune response to that area (works very well for HS lesions but not an infection lol. I say this because my derm messed up and now I’m on a boatload of other antibiotics because of it. Trust your gut

4. Hormonal Treatments:

- Aldactone: Reduces inflammation and pain.
- Finasteride: Effective for symptom relief with few side effects.
- Metformin: Used for type 2 diabetes but also helps with HS symptoms.

Members have reported a decrease in flare-ups and symptoms with these treatments. For example, one member on biologic medication for five months experienced fewer and less severe flares, less pain, and more energy.
