I use to hate when all I could do is wait it out but it’s so important to let that beast run on its own time bc that’s HS. EPSOM SALT soaks areas many times a day as you can and do NOT use ice as it slows the process. You want to draw that infection to the surface and heat will do that! And epsom salt has many benefits but the main one healing and preparing the area for drainage. Use a warm not hot compress 15 min on and then t min off until it opens outside of the bath. Use tubular gauze to hold dressing in place as it can be used and cut to work for any area.

Hot as I can handle bath with vicks crystal Epson salts. Heating pad. Vicks on the area (if not near your genitals). Can you tell that it's a go to for me? I've also used hot hands in a sock when desperate but make sure only to use it for a few minutes on then off. Do not use when getting ready for bed...I fell asleep and ended up burning skin off.

I use a mix n a spray bottle of hibiclens, hydrogen peroxide, a couple drops of tea tree oil and witch hazel. When spraying on twice a day I find it speeds the process. Heat compress works also. Its been so tender at times that I cover with a strong bandaid to stop interference with the area and after a day or two its popped on its own. Hope that helps.

I just picked up boil ointment from cvs tonight . I heard it helps them pop faster this is night 3 with this active one and I’ve been putting warm compresses and nothing works let’s see if it pops by the time I go to derm in the morning. It did help with pain a little.

I highly recommend against it unless a medical professional is the one to do it. But, I ain't gonna lie......I've popped mine before with a needle. Which was stupid because I have MANY other health issues and I could've gotten myself infected. But fortunately I'm still okay. I've read somewhere that putting a warm rag over it, helps it to pop.
