I'm pretty sure it is related. I have read some info. on it and doctors suspect that people with HS do also have some form of IBS or other related issues. I know that I have Bile Acid Malnutrition (BAM). It started out as IBS-C and then a year later BAM formed.

Yes I have it’s horrible disgusting sometimes but it’s not a problem I love to talk about with people I used to be the opposite like living on Imodium in order to spend the night out was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in my 20’s steroid and pain medication made it normal but as I got older and more auto immune diseases I have had week of constipation at a time. Gluten free diet has helped but if I have a flare up my insides feel like they swell even peeing is a problem.

I didn't know it could be related, but maybe it is. I had Colitis for a couple years, then a Dermatologist prescribed me Doxycycline for 5 months because I was having a knee replacement.....took it 2 months before and 3 months after. It got rid of my Colitis???

Yes I have IBS and some Colitis twice in a year. I think it's from my infusion.
