Has Anyone Had Any Liver Issues With Their Hs
recently suffering incredibly bad flare ups with my hs they are now appearing internally due for a scan on my liver to see if they have spread to that area as my liver is no longer functioning as it should and was wondering if anyone else has had similar experience or if there is any liver disease linked with hs
I was warned by my dermatologist that they will watch my liver closely with this disease. Liver function is affected by HS and the medications for it.
I have just had to have blood tests to check my liver
People with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) have an increased risk of developing liver issues. Specifically:
- Alcohol-related liver disease: People with HS have an almost 30 percent increased risk of developing this condition.
- Hepatitis B: There is a 48 percent increased risk of having hepatitis B among those with HS.
I recently found out the my triglycerides are like 450.
With my Antibiotics I take. Regularly, I have to have my liver checked, periodically. I think they just take blood samples.
I just read up about liver damage, & I do have two of the symptoms... enlarged stomach, & swollen ankles. I am surprised, my doctor hasn't looked into this,, any further.
