I Want To Laughing
What's the most ridiculous thing at doctors ever told you what is it your skin disease outcome on a hospital visit mine was one time with a spider bite
I don't even give stupid doctors a chance to misdiagnose anything. I educate them. Tell them what the name of my skin condition is and say if you don't know don't be afraid to say that you don't know. Too many doctors attempt treatment for something that isn't working cause they don't know. At least thats how I get down.
Mine was 7 years back, I got my first flare under my stomach it grew into golf size cyst took weeks before it busted when to the doctor numerous times even though I was unable to walk, the doctor said I got it because of my weight problems. Took me almost 5 years to diagnose its HS.
Thanks for sharing that Trina.
I have HS in my groin and buttocks and currently use any deodorant cosmetics and washing stuff on areas that aren’t impacted as they have been fine for 15 years while I’ve been dealing with HS but with this information I am going to be more proactive where I don’t have lesions.
As scary as the thought of getting HS in other places is now I can start looking after them with more natural products. May not stop me developing elsewhere but might give me a better chance of controlling anything that may crop up on the future thank you❤️
I have only been told by one doctor that it could be mastitis because it does happen to post-menopausal women too. However, I have known a long time I have h.s. I was just in shock when it started occurring on the boobs after 20+ years of it only being in the groin area. I am sorry about your misdiagnosis and problems due to it.
My first bad flare was just after my son was born. I was breast feeding and the placement of the lesion really didn’t jive with the confirmation that I the doctor gave - actually had mastitis. This continued for a long time as the flare would subside and reoccur and I remember that first year- eventually I stopped breast feeding much sooner than I wanted because I thought it was causing the reoccurring infection and so did the doctors. My son was 4 before I was diagnosed and by this time, I had lesions in all the common areas and I think that’s when an emergency room doctor mentioned to me that he thought I had HS but he wasn’t sure and said I should seek a referral to dermatology.
