Mental anguish. Because I don’t know which bumps that pop up are going to be monsters or how long it will take to heal them if ever. Plus dealing with the physical pain they cause.

one condition seems to set off another one. i have found all of mine settling down, but if the weather changes or i eat something inflammatory, or i get a virus..etc, they all act up.

Pain and frustration. I have several autoimmune conditions I have to deal with and add finding something that helps my HS has been a massive struggle for over 3 years. Then add the pain from everything else and I'm at a good 8 pain wise. And that's on 80mg of Oxycodone and 1200mg of Ibuprofen.

thank you so much for all the info, Baz!
when i get them in my groin area, sex is completely off the table, sometimes for months. i have had huge boils the size of an egg before they split/burst. extremely painful. i spend those days alternating between a heating pad and epsom salt baths. the scars are awful. when i get them under one or both breasts i can barely move my arms. i went for a mammogram and told the tech i was worried about one of the cysts rupturing (it didn't and wasn't bad, really) she asked why i thought i had a cyst and i showed her the bottoms of my breasts.the horror on her face was obvious.i also have severe RA and i'm typing one handed, please forgive my lack of capital letters. i've been on humira for a year now, and they are really settling down. i will be adding these bandages to my ever growing medicine chest. i highly recommend those little charcoal heating pads, too, i haven't seen anyone else mention them. they are perfect for when the boils are ready to form a head. and they are soothing and portable.
