If You've Ever Had Groin Surgery To Remove HS Can You Share Your Experience?

A myHSteam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ
Cape Town, ZA

I've recently had a consultation with a dermatologist and a plastic surgeon and both suggested I get surgery for my groin area and the area is real big so they also suggested I get a skin graft to cover the cuts done, so I just wanted to know if anyone else has expeiences this or has any advice.

- Recurrence: While HS can recur in areas not removed during surgery, the recurrence is often less severe.
- Quality of Life: Self-reported quality of life significantly improved after surgery.
- Recovery: Recovery can be challenging due to the location, making it painful to sit or perform certain activities initially.
