Pain Management.

A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

Hello!
I am having a hard time managing my pain with a flare up. Unfortunately I can only take Tylenol since I’m allergic to ibuprofen but doesn’t seem to help much. Do you have any tips that have helped you or home remedies?

Hi Fatima!

I appreciate you giving me these pointers. I have it in the same area you do and I have nothing but stabbing pain right now. I bought prid today but doesn’t seem to be helping. Will definitely try this out.

Thanks❤️

Hello Cece. I'm sorry that you are in pain. I cannot take Tylenol or Ibuprofen either. I don't know where your flares are so I don't know what to tell you. This is what you can do if you have the same areas as I do. My flares are in the Groin and Anal area and if I'm having a painful flare there, I get a pan of Hot, Hot water with a little bleach. Soak a wash cloth in it and place the Hot water and bleach on the boil. It takes away the pain, itching, soreness and swelling and the boil will burst and start to drain right then or the next day. If not, repeat the procedure.

You can also use Vicks on the boil. There are other things but your Dermatologist need to prescribe it for you. I hope something work and you feel better soon. 😀
