Does Anyone Have Any Tips For Hair Removal With HS?

I have HS and also PCOS, which causes excessive body hair. Any effort to remove body hair (shaving, hair removal cream, etc. I've tried it all) results in immediate flare ups of HS, especially in my armpits. I'm interested in permanent laser hair removal, but I'm worried that you have to remove the hair before you have the laser, so i'd inevitably be having the laser over very sore skin... Plus it's expensive! Naturally I have tried just not removing body hair, but I HATE IT so am trying to find… read more

I have the same and am presently in the process of doing laser hair removal …like you said shaving the hair before causes breakouts and usually there’s always an area that can’t be work on. Since it’s every 6-8 weeks it’s not that bad and the places where the hair doesn’t grow back I no longer have breakouts.
So to sum it all up it is worth it but it’s a long and expensive process that might never be completely finished
