HMO is health maintenance organization which basically means you have to go through your primary care provider to get referrals for any specialist doctor. Insurance will not pay unless there is a referral from the pcp.

@A myHSteam Member Welllllllll I did " Google it" as u say ( did it well before I even posted). Funny fact I used to work a call center for blue cross blue shield even. Guess what I'm still confused more than ever 😵‍💫🤦‍♀️ hence me asking here 🤣🤣🤣
