Because this is an inflammation issues, I'm starting to change my diet. Today I start no dairy and no yeast. Any other ideas? I also have essential oils such as oregano, lemon, frankincense, lavender, and clove which I take internally.
New here so ideas would be great to hear from people who have delt with it longer than I have.

I suggest removing sugar and as many processed foods (most contain sugars) as well. I am doing a very low carb Ketogenic diet. It has only been close to 3 months, but is helping tremendously. Additionally, if possible, have a LEAP MRT food sensitivity test done. It is a hefty investment for sure, but it will tell you what foods cause inflammation in your body. It is different for everyone and some of foods that I thought were healthy in general I found out are not for me! . It is helping me so much!

I have state health care currently so I'll recheck. Last time I tried to see a dermatologist, they said that they just send pictures then the dermatologist will get back with protocol. Never actually getting to see any one in person.
As for HS and doctors I'm going pass. It's been a hard road with their "help". I am in tune with my body but now I will have to reintroduce a anti inflammatory diet. Making a plan this week for that.
I'm really unsure if I cover the armpit (right armpit currently is the only place of flare ups) when they rupture or just use a warm compress and leave it to ooze out. I've read 2 different takes on that.
I'm happy I've found this site, but I'm thinking of clinical research trails as well. Thoughts? I just don't feel that surgery, antibiotics, and injections are the only way to tame this.

Ive detlt with some pretty bad flare ups, my first one was a massive one under my left breast and it was so painful and when it opened it was alot, but for that I basicly had a wash cloth live there till it was healed I changed it everyday and made sure that I cleaned it when i took my showers. i was 14 and that is how i've been rocking it till recently. I just decided to figure out what works for me no docter for almost 10 years I have had and been diagnosed with HS. I say that the more you can learn about HS and your body and what works best for a small one for you, because I just put a dressing on with a bit of rash cream and i am good to go.

I recomend meditation with a focaus on feeling the things in your body so you can better understand what happens in thoes areas that have been effected. Ialso recomend to find a wound care as well as a dermatologest.

Knowing my body and being able to advocate for myself from a young age has made a whole lot of help with the rate people try to dismiss me. I keep track of everything no exceptions. I keep track of leg and groin flare ups and arm pit flre ups as well as my now every once in a while breast flare ups.
