Here are some tips to manage and reduce drainage during hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) flare-ups:

- Use Antiseptic Washes: Using an antiseptic wash or cleanser recommended by your healthcare provider can help prevent infection and reduce odor.
- Wear Absorbent Dressings: Dressings that can absorb discharge or drainage can help manage the fluid. Replace them regularly to reduce smells and maintain hygiene.
- Frequent Showering: Showering or bathing frequently with fragrance-free soap can help avoid irritation and kill bacteria.
- Consult Your Dermatologist: If the drainage is persistent, it’s best to consult your dermatologist. They can safely drain lesions in a sterile environment if necessary.

Remember, it's important to avoid picking at or lancing the lesions yourself, as this can lead to infection, bleeding, and scarring.

I've actually used natural cotton feminine products to help bc of the absorbency and then used the stretchy roll gauze to hold it in place.. sometimes you just got to make do w what you can
