With What’s Been Linked To HS Regarding Smoking Cigarettes.. How Many Of You Here In The Community Smoke Or Used To?
What’s your experience if you are a former smoker and quit?
i vape and smoke weed and my hs didn't really change when i started. but everyone is different and my doctors recommend me to stop vaping or cut back and never really said anything avout the weed because of its pain management properties.
I smoked but now vape and don't inhale. No difference
i am on vapes now but i have smoked for 10 years. i just turned 30 so i started when i was 18 and just quit and i feel a difference in my other health issues a bit. it is so hard to quit and im really glad i got super sick and it basically forced me to quit. i could be more grateful. but i havent seen it yet with HS but i have heard it does add to flare ups
I smoked cigarettes and switched to vaping. All while I was switching, I also cut dairy out of my diet and I noticed a difference in the severity in my flare ups. Don't get me wrong, they still can get pretty painful at times.
Things were getting bad. Was doing multiple things at once. Hard to tell which one played a bigger role but:
Humira then cosentyx, weight loss, smoking/nicotine cessation ,(little over 1 year).
With all 3 I have seen a dramatic reduction in frequency and severity of flares. They do still happen though.
Now if the continuous draining would stop. Spending a ton on bandaging supplies. Anyone got any ideas on that?
