Hi Tammy, for inflammation I would stay away from foods like simple carbs, processed foods, and sugar. Supplements that are good are turmeric, omega 3 fish oil, vitamin D and C, and ginger are just a few. Get some unscented dr teals epsom salt and soak in it for at least 20 minutes. Tylenol reduces inflammation and helps with pain. Also ask your doctor for some opiates for the days that are unbearable. I also take delta 8 gummies to help me fall asleep when in pain.

My dermatologist has put me on spironolactone and just up my dose. It helps the outbreaks but also I had to go on Birth control and skip. Sugar pills. This controls the outbreaks and inflammation or should say reduces the out breaks. I been recently diagnosed that happened suffering for about 20 years. Doctor after doctor had just treated me and basically told me it's something that I'm doing and no one no one ever told me that I had HS or possibly look at further doctors to see why I'm constantly swallowing and having outbreaks. So I usually take Motrin when the pain in my bones and joints get too bad. But is there anything that y'all recommend to help with the swelling and inflammation in the pain?
