Hello Fatima. Yes, in my case. I take progesterone everyday and it has cured my endometriosis and my HS. But the sad thing is that progesterone can give brain tumors.
Best regards

Yes, many women with hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) notice flare-ups before or during their menstrual period. Here are some key points from the knowledge base:

- Timing of Flares:
- 77% of women reported worsening HS symptoms around their menstrual cycle.
- 79% of women experienced flares the week before their period.
- Some women notice an increase in HS lumps and boils right before their cycle.

- Hormonal Influence:
- Flare-ups seem to be caused by decreasing levels of estrogen and progesterone.
- Sex hormones, which vary before menstruation, may affect HS symptoms.

- Personal Experiences:
- Many women can predict their periods by the lumps they get.
- Some women experience worse symptoms during ovulation or the week before their period.

- Family History:
- 50% of women with a family history of HS had menstrual-related HS flares.

These findings suggest a strong link between menstrual cycles and HS flare-ups.
