I wear men’s cotton boxers, the loose plaid dress shirt like cotton, not t-shirt material year round. I wear looser jeans or baggy corduroy, sometimes two pair at once if super cold. I wear layers of hoodies with t-shirt under, and sometimes baggy sweat pants. Cotton sports bras. At night I wear hoodies and sweats but pull them below my hips to let groin and buttocks get air with a towel under me for extra sanitation. An electric blanket is great. If not I add Injinji toe socks with fake fur lined super thick house socks over those. I am pretty much hs free now. I go years without a bump. Follow a low saturated fat diet and eat Mediterranean diet as if you have cirrhosis of the liver. Dairy ok if fat free or low fat. Kefir and yogurt plain recommended. No sugar, only small amount low glycemic fruit. Sugar in fruit as bad as alcohol. No alcohol at all. No sugar or agave syrup. Honey or maple natural from the tree ok in small amounts. No diet sugar substitutes or food chemical additives. I allow a cheat meal twice a month like fast food or a soft serve ice cream. Otherwise no eating out. Low carb.

In winter, dress in layers with loose-fitting, breathable fabrics to manage hidradenitis suppurativa. Start with a base layer of soft, moisture-wicking materials like bamboo or Tencel to keep skin dry. Add loose sweaters or jackets made of non-irritating fabrics. Avoid tight jeans; opt for joggers or leggings instead. Choose comfortable, supportive undergarments like bralettes or boy shorts to reduce friction. Prioritize warmth without sacrificing comfort for sensitive areas.
