Hello Matthew2 and everyone else. I am so sorry your all going through what you are. Im from a small town in Indiana and it took forever for my doctor to finally give up trying and sent me to a dermatologist. That is when i learned about HS. They started me on antibiotics and have had to move up to stronger doses. But it does help quite a bit. As long as i do everything in my power not to sweat!! Anyhow, i had for many years, sores that would drain 24/7. I used A LOT of wet rags and hot water bottles to make them drain quicker. The trick is to gently push down on your skin around it so it can drain. Pushing down and pulling back. NEVER SQUEEZE lol. It's frustrating when they just keep growing down a line and make tracks. All i can say is hot compressions with wet rags. I also use to use drawing salve and stuff called "boil ease" that stuff was a nightmare. Right now, i just deal with a lot of scars that collect sweat and deodorants and they sometimes will fess up. But being scared for life has definitely made an impact on my social life

Matthew, They may have to do surgery on that back one on your neck. I am so glad I shared my story with you. H..S. is an inflammatory disease. Humira gave me an autoimmune disease with this psoriasis on palms 🤲 and feet. Now, they are trying to get rid of that. I know I sent you a pic of 🤲 again. It is getting better, but when I get off steroids it comes right back. So glad you are doing a lot better. I walk on my feet and work with my hands, so just one more preventable thing. I wish I would have never touched Humira. My h.s. is not active right now on doxycycline monohydrate 100 mg a day. Hugs 🤗 and prayers for you.

Hi @A myHSteam Member, I’m doing good no longer pealing. I have been off of Accutane for a few months now. I’m still coming along. I have this one boil left on the back of my head that is stubborn. I can’t figure out how to get rid of it. I have lots of scars on my face but doing a lot better. My left side of my face still flairs up a little i need to get this inflammation under control. I’m not trying Humira thats out your story alone scared the heck out of me i was already being cautious
Of it but now I’m definitely not touching it they sent it to my house and you told me what happened and I threw it all out besides that my dermatologist told me they don’t think it would help me anyway but still gave it to me horrible.

Matthew, Hi. Been a while since we spoke. Thanks for the 🤗 hugs and right back to you. This side effect from Humira on hands and feet still not cleared. I tried Accutane 30 years ago and got high triglycerides and they took me off. My dermatologist and Houston specialist trying to get me back on it. I am not trying it till I get rid of this crap on my palms and feet. Also, I already have high cholesterol. Hate that you are peeling so bad and your side is hurting. I am going to try to post an article for you to read if I can get it on here https://www.healthline.com/health/accutane-side...
