Anybody Get Worse HS Or Rashes/inflammation From Absorbent Pads

A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭

Had been using sanitary feminine pads for drainage. Had used unscented for years and thought them safe. Suddenly I couldn’t stand wearing them at all or any unscented brand. I tried stuffing toilet tissue and it felt like wearing sandpaper from being so irritated. So I found this article. I noticed my H.S. was only in the pad wearing area as well. I switched to T-shirt material and am feeling much better. Thought I’d lost this as a warning to others that things we use for protection from… read more

Mine don’t have blue lines. No telling what some companies put in stuff. I bought some Walmart T-shirts that made me itch and skin crawl all over even after washing. Washed them a million times and every time I put those particular shirts on my skin crawled and itched. Found out they sometimes soak clothes in formaldehyde so they won’t mold in transport in oversea shipping containers. Found out I had to use full fat powdered milk and soak it in washing machine many hours to remove it as something in milk protein breaks down formaldehyde and then the itching stopped. So a person never knows what these corporations are doing. Had to go to special organic natural laundry soap too because many companies put undisclosed formaldehyde in laundry liquid, even the free and clear ones.

My gynecologist told my some pads that have the blue lines can cause a rash. Always is one of them. Hope this helps.
