Has anyone tried or has your doctor suggested using numbing perineal spray, like the spray recommended for women after childbirth, to help with perineal HS pain?

I have used it, but if there are any openings in the skin, it burns like fire. BUT if there aren't any openings in tje skin....it helps for a few minutes. I have had better luck with lidocaine gel (rx). It still doesn't last long, but a little relief is better than no relief.

I haven't but I used them after having my little one earlier this year and I'll be honest they stung so much for very little relief, especially on the areas I had grazes so not sure how effective or painful it would be if you have any open areas.
