Can Bleach Hurt Open Wounds?

A myHSteam Member asked a question 💭
Florida, NY

I've read about others using bleach in their bath water. I have a lot of open wounds and I don't want to make matters worse. They itch like CRAZYYYY right now so I'm just looking for something to ease it.

I actually find bleach baths to be relieving. The amount you would use in your tub is similar to a chlorinated pool. I use about 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup in a full tub. You are suppose to do 10 minutes soak and then fully rinse in the shower. I have never done a compress with bleach as that seems like it could be painful.

Just use alittle bit of bleach not much maybe like a caps full try adding some espom salt with it green alcohol peroxide I hope this helps this was what my grandma put in the tub when I had very bad severe boils on my butt I had one that was big as my fist and she put me in the tub with real hot water hot to where I was able to bare it and shortly after that. that thing busted.

I hope this helps you hope you feel better healing hugs sent to you 🦋

I’ve done bleach baths in the past and I didn’t like it much because it made my bottom too dry and I’ve heard bleach kills the good bacteria we have on our lady part. Recently I took a bath with green alcohol and water. It has helped with the itching and even with some open flares that has been draining forever
