I'm just curious as to where you are living? I'm in Washington state and it was actually my primary care doctor who suggested that I might have H.S. Sure enough, it was diagnosed by my dermatologist. For me tge internet would be my best search engine. Or, if you have insurance, talk to a representative who can help you in your search. Best of luck to you.

Finding a doctor who understands Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) can be challenging, but here are some steps to help you:

1. Seek a Specialist:
- Look for a board-certified physician who specializes in complex medical dermatology. These specialists treat difficult, rare, or complex skin diseases like HS.

2. Referrals:
- If your current dermatologist cannot provide a proper diagnosis or answer your questions, ask for a referral to a specialist.

3. Telehealth Visits:
- Consider virtual consultations if you can't find a specialist nearby. Telehealth allows doctors to remotely examine, diagnose, and prescribe treatment for HS.

4. HS Specialty Clinics:
- The Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation provides a list of HS Specialty Clinics across the U.S. that offer specialized care.

5. Be Prepared:
- Write down all the points you’d like to discuss in advance and share how HS has impacted you mentally and emotionally during your appointment.

6. Support Groups:
- Connect with others who have HS for recommendations and support. Online support groups can also provide valuable insights and suggestions.

By following these steps, you can increase your chances of finding a knowledgeable and supportive doctor for your HS.
