my white cell count and differential (specifically neutrophils and lymphocytes) were abnormal (very high) with significant and unexplained weight loss, nausea, and fatigue.
I have had infections on humira and cosentyx but this time the wbc count was really high with 2 weeks of doxycycline. The above might suggest possible lymphoma. I think its the symptoms that scared my doc.
The diagnosis is not a "slam dunk" so to speak and data/info supporting causality between biologics, HS and cancer seems really limited.
Hope that helps.

Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) can increase the risk of certain cancers, particularly squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Chronic inflammation from HS is a known risk factor for cancer. It's important to monitor for cancer signs and symptoms and discuss your individual risk with your healthcare provider.
