I just had my appeal today but I have a feeling they are going to want me to try humira first.. has this happen to anyone? If you've tried Humira and Cosentyx which was better?

I was on humira for a few months seemed to work decently. Then got switched to the biosimilar because insurance obviously and my dermatologist has agreed today that it does not seem effective so I'm doing the onboarding doses of cosentyx the next couple weeks hoping for improvement and insurance approval if everything goes well

I seen the surgeon yesterday. He referred me to derm. But in the meantime he started me on daily doxycycline . I've taken it in past but just a the usual short dose. Not sure when Derm will be because the referral just got sent yesterday.

I have finally reached a point where Humira is not effective for HS. They finally approved Cosentyx as a medication for HS. They told me it would not be as harsh on the immune system and that it might help me. Is anyone considering it?

i got some blood labs back and they said my blood protein is like 9.5 but my liver and kidney function is good. idk i'm kinda freaking out.

So, I finally saw a rheumatologist Friday, still need to get updated blood work before anything is final, but she is saying that HS can cause my body to go into flares and create fevers, attack my joints , pretty much everything that RA and Lupus can create. I am having a Deroofing surgery. My surgeon said HS will never heal if you have a lot of tunneling. I have tunneling everywhere. I go in January I will let everyone know how is it. It's supposed to clear my HS along with Sterlara.
