What's The Typical Or What Has Been Your First Course Of Treatment At The Derm?

When first seeing the derm, what's your experience? Also did you get a different diagnosis besides hs once you started seeing them. I'm waiting on my referral for the derm to go through. Im nervous as to what to expect as the first trial or round ( not sure how to say that) of treatment they might start me on. I'm also wondering what the chances that I wasn't properly diagnosed or something else has developed.

My current employer offers 0 paid sick days and missing 2 non-consecutive days within a 12 month period requires medical documentation to keep your job. I am sick and tired of having to deal with ignorant employers and policy makers with regard to this disease and I am certainly sick of being judged and gossiped about for taking non-paid days off when I just cannot work due to flare-ups.
